Middle School (Grades 6-8) Athletics Participation
Before trying out for athletics at Washington, the following are required by the Minnesota State High School League, St. Paul Public Schools, and Washington Technology Magnet:
A current sports physical exam form on file in the Athletic Office (valid for 3 years). Sports physicals are available in the Health Start Clinic at school.
Student athletes must be academically eligible to participate.
Athletic fees are paid.
Each middle school athletic activity has a fee of $25.00 ($15 participation fee and $10 equipment fee). For those who qualify for free/reduced lunch the fee is $10 ($0 participation fee and $10 equipment fee).
Fall Sports start date is September 20th, 2021

*Seventh and eighth graders participating at the high school level are responsible for the senior high fee structure. Sixth grade is only eligible for middle school participation. Please see the Athletic Director if you are interested in participating in the sports that have an asterisk* (fees vary).
